The mental health crisis was one of the driving forces behind the passing of Measure 109. Significant research shows that psilocybin has been effective in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and substance use disorder. Mental health professionals are at the forefront of the crisis.
To stay within their scope of practice and stay true to Oregon's adult use model, licensed psilocybin facilitators need relationships with mental health professionals. They need to have trusting resources to refer their clients for deeper integration after a psilocybin experience has unearthed unresolved trauma.
